T Crescent group of companies consists of T Crescent Incorporated, providing audit and assurance services, and T Crescent Consulting (Pty) Ltd, providing business advisory services, including internal audit, accounting and bookkeeping, taxation, financial management, etc. The company’s Head Office is based in Polokwane, Limpopo Province. T Crescent also operates an office in Lephalale and provides services across South Africa and beyond.
T Crescent was established by Matsobane Tleane Chartered Accountant (CA) SA, Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Thys de Beer Chartered Accountant (CA) SA. Collectively they have more than 46 years’ experience in providing specialised services to both the public and private sectors covering a variety of industries such as manufacturing, retail, mining, financial services, etc.

Our management team has over 100 years combined experience in providing specialised and professional services to a wide spectrum of clients including small, medium and large size individuals and entities in both the private and public sector.
Our Team
Our company consists of a staff compliment of approximately 30 people ranging from registered chartered accountants and registered auditors, certified Internal Auditors, qualified accountants, bookkeepers and tax practitioners as well as trainee accountants and various support staff.

Matsobane TleaneManaging Director CA (SA)
Matsobane is a registered Chartered Accountant and certified Internal Auditor and a member of SAICA, IRBA and IIA.
Matsobane has more than 24 years’ experience in rendering professional services to clients of various sizes ranging from individuals and small and medium size entities to large national entities in both the private and public sector. Matsobane specialises in internal audit, external audit, accounting, tax and advisory services. Matsobane is a registered pre-issuance reviewer for the Polokwane Office of the Auditor General.
Matsobane plays an active role in the community and is a past President of the Polokwane Chamber of Business. He is also a keen golf player and social runner.
Thys de BeerDirector CA (SA)
Thys is a Registered Chartered Accountant and a member of SAICA and IRBA.
Thys has more than 22 years’ experience in rendering professional services to clients of various sizes ranging from small and medium size entities to large national entities in both the private and public sector. Some of the experience was gained as a Senior Manager at the Office of the Auditor General. Thys specialises in external audit, accounting, tax and advisory services.
Thys enjoys nature and spends his free time camping outdoors or visiting his breakaway in the Waterberg area.
Our Management Team
Advisory and consulting
Johan Janse van Vuuren holds a B Compt (Honours) degree and has more than 30 years’ experience rendering professional services to clients of various sizes ranging from small to large entities in both the private and public sector. Some of the experience was gained while being part of the audit team of the Company. Johan has in-depth experience of the operations of transport companies, municipalities and tertiary institutions where he provided specialised services. Johan is responsible for the advisory department of the Company.
Johan is an outdoor and bush fanatic and spends most of his free time living out his hobby of taking wildlife photos. Johan also plays an active role in the community and has served on the committee of the local running club as chairperson, treasurer and other portfolios including race organiser over a period of more than 25 years.
Marlize Malan is based at the Lephalale branch, she is a Registered Chartered Accountant and a member of SAICA. She worked in the Gauteng area for a number of years were she obtained experience rendering professional services to clients including external audit, advisory and accounting services.
She has experience in both the private and public sector which is spread over a number of industries including but not limited to consulting, agricultural, automotive , retail and investment industry.
Marlize is a family orientated person and in her free time she enjoys socializing with her friends and family.
Accounting and Bookkeeping
Elize van Staaden is responsible for the accounting and bookkeeping department. She holds a B Com degree and is registered with SAICA and as a Tax Practitioner. Elize has more than 17 years’ experience rendering professional accounting and bookkeeping services to clients of various sizes ranging from individual and small to large size entities both in the private and public sector.
Elize is also a qualified CaseWare Champion and has in-depth knowledge and experience on the operations of this software and has a passion for training individuals to utilise CaseWare software to generate financial statements and has successfully built capacity to various clients and staff.
During her free time, she loves spending quality time with her family and doing digital scrapbooking, capturing the life, love and beauty of those special moments.
Tax
Mokgadi Tleane is responsible for the tax department and holds a Higher Diploma in Tax and an Advanced Certificate in Tax. She is registered with SAIT as a registered Tax Practitioner and has more than 19 years’ experience rendering professional tax services to clients of various sizes ranging from individuals and small to large entities in both the private and public sector. She also gained valuable experience in the Tax Assessment Centre at The South African Revenue Service.
Mokgadi is a loving mother of four children. She loves singing and enjoys cooking. To her cooking is simply a fun and wonderful way to bond as a family.
Our Forensic Consultants
Dawie Fouche holds Bachelor of Arts (Law) and is qualified and admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa. Over thirty-five (35) years of experience in fraud and misconduct investigations and criminal prosecutions including the planning and execution of investigations, prosecutions in the High Court and arguing of appeals in the High Court and Supreme Court of Appeal.
His Investigation experience includes the investigation of a wide variety of financial crimes in both the Private and Public Sector (all spheres of Government).
Dawie enjoys playing golf and watching birds.
Pierré Leonard holds B Proc Law and has more than 25 years’ experience in the field of Forensic investigations. He gained extensive knowledge and experience in the recognition and investigation of fraud schemes for clients in the private and public sectors.
As a specialist in Fraud and Misconduct investigations, He is experienced in conducting interviews with witnesses and suspects, the drafting of witness and other statements, the various methods and means of collating, handling, preserving, analysis and presenting of evidence.
Pierré has the ability to execute investigations in an organised manner and in accordance with an appropriately developed project plan. He plays golf and is an enthusiast for deep sea fishing.
